I was on my way to a hamburger place,  but happen to find parking next to Sheeba.  It is a new restuarante. We decided to change plans and try it.  It was 2pm on a Monday.

If you walk into this restaurant and it looks empty, don't leave. Go in and find someone to seat you.  The food is very good and authentic. The food was tasty and made with  fresh ingredients.  The portions are pretty big too. The price is more than fair for what you get. Definitely try their fresh juices. I ordered pomegranate, I can drink a gallon of that.  So good!  Friendly service.  Ask for hot sauce if you like spicy.

My friend ordered the foul, ended up with lentil soup instead and the chicken haneeth and the big bread, small hummus, fahsah. The foul soup is just a lamb broth, nothing in it. The lentil soup is bland, slightly better with lemon, but not by much.

The tabouli is yummy and fresh, nice lemony flavor and so fresh.

The hummus is pretty, like a blossomed bud. Has a tasty smoky flavor, must be from the paprika or are the chick peas roasted some?

The Tanoor bread is big and $1 for two pieces.

The foul and the haneeth were both very average, the fahsa is bland and boring, it's completely devoid of flavor unless you use the puréed tomato sauce, it's as my friend said saves the haneeth and the fahsa. I requested for another sauce and then for a hotter sauce, they gave me a side dish of puréed jalapeño, something to hide the blandness of the dish. My fahsa has a nice green tint to it after dumping 2 jalapeño and 1 tomato sauce in it. Taking the rest home and smothering it with heat to hide the flatness of it all.

I am glad I at least had the tabouli and hummus, would have starved otherwise. The food besides the tabouli and hummus wasn't made for a human consumption, well if they are devoid of any taste buds maybe.

Staff here are all nice. The GM is very friendly and chatty, gave us a history of the traditional dress on the wall and their plans to expand the room by the coffee bar with an enclosed glass walls and views out. My friend said he liked the interior decor, hoping he might ask how the food was tonight, he didn't ask. We both would have given verbal recommendations on things to improve on. We were told this place is always packed on the weekend. I can't believe people come back after their visit here.

I would not come back for the decor and definitely not for the food. It was a disappointing meal and trip and waste of money. I have had much better Yemeni food in Hamtramck.

Alas, they can't all be 4 or 5 stars in the end.

I have lived in Dearborn for a lot of years and eaten at MANY Middle Eastern restaurants. I have eaten at the Sheeba in East Dearborn and thought that it was also just okay. The Yemeni food is a bit more like a meat and potatoes version of the Lebanese and Iranian food that I have come to love and enjoy. I'm not a big fan of meat and potatoes in American "cuisine", and it carries over to the Middle Eastern version as well.

That said, the food here is just okay. I got one of their signature dishes and while the meat was soft, it was kinda dry. The rice was boring. The spices boring. And our service was terrible. I know that they were just getting going, so I will try to give it another chance. But the prices make me less inclined to do so.... so we shall see.

Note to the business owner: please train your staff to come by and check on the patrons every once in a while. Providing the bill in a reasonable amount of time during the lunch hour is imperative, as MANY people dining during that time need to get back to work. We had to go ask someone else to get our bill for us because we hadn't seen our server in a very long time.

I've never tried Yemeni cuisine, and I found myself in Middle Eastern city Dearborn and stumbled upon Sheeba. It's a large and elegant restaurant with upscale place settings and comfortable leather armchairs.

I tried the lamb speciality, which was served with a choice of salad or lentil soup. The lentil soup was delicious, with a fresh and unique flavor. The lamb was tender, and served with some perfectly cooked rice and vegetables. It was a unique dish, but somewhat low on flavor.

Service was friendly but a bit slow. Overall a good spot to try some unique dishes.

If you haven't been to Sheeba West Dearborn - you need to go. Not only is the food ridiculous good, the ambiance is wonderful too. Menu serves vegans as well as meat eaters.
    Great desserts.
Very good hot beverages - tea, coffee.
The prices are extremely fair based on the high quality they deliver.
